Things Learned

I went up to Duluth yesterday, just for the night. I left around 8:30am or 9:00am and managed to get up there by about noon. We had lunch, and then went down to Canal park to walk by the lake and get Caribou. We stopped at a few of the stores along the road, and then passed by Club Saratoga. For those of you who don't know about Club Saratoga.... It's in Duluth, it's sketcy (to us), it's right next to a childrens' toy store, and they have dancers....
Theres also a sign at the top of the building that says, "ROOMS week/month." We're not really sure what that means, but we have a couple guesses.

Anyways, there was also a sign posted on the window that said, "Waitress needed." Then the phone number of the club was listed, and the phone number of "Tony" was listed...
Needless to say, I now have Club Saratoga's phone number, and Court has "Tony's" number AND the number for Saratoga, under the contact name "Work," (my doing!!).

We continued to Caribou. INside, sitting at our table with our coolers, we were out of control! Trying to come up with "out-of-the-ordinary" things to do can be difficult. One idea was to go skinny dipping in Lake Superior... No. It's January. TOO cold. Then, I decided it could be hilarious to go ask for an application for the waitress job at Saratoga... Just thinking about this made us laugh. Around 3:07pm (7 mins after Saratoga opens) we saw a red haired man with a dirty stache and a stink eye walk passed Caribou... We wathed him walk down the sidewalk and head into Saratoga.... We decided that this man was Tony! We started to reconsider going into Saratoga and asking for an application. We decided it would be smart to call ahead. So we headed back to Court's car and proceded to call Club Saratoga.
Tony Answered the phone. I asked if I could come in and pick up an application for the waitress job.... He said that they don't have applications, but that I should just come on in, and make sure to bring an ID. Sketchy. Interview on the spot?? Good thing we decided to call ahead. Still, it's an hilarious story for me and Court... you probably had to be there.

We went to the mall. I was craving some new shoes. :/ DSW was calling my name. I found a pair of CUTE black, heeled, Madden Girl boots! Then in the clearance section, I found some "high-top_ Sketchers shoes. SO fun. Done deal. We checked out and headed to Cub to get something to make for dinner.

Back at the apartment, we made Mac&Cheese for dinner. I played with my new pair of boots and my Sketchers. I forgot to mention earlier that, during the time we were at Caribou we saw three different girls who were wearing boots, a normal shirt(doesn't go below the waist) and LEGGINGS. A) It's still pretty chilly out, B) It looked kinda silly, C) Leggings really aren't pants. So when I was playing with my shoes, I was wearing a regular shirt, and just my spandex. (Sketcher on the right foot, boot on the left.)

Court woke up early this morning to work, and then we went tanning (for FREE!) when she got back around 10am. We hung out at home for awhile, and then we went back down to Caribou for one last cooler together until next time. Pretty sure we saw Tony heading to work again just as we were saying bye around 2:50 this afternoon... thats 10mins before Saratoga opens. He was EARLY to work today. Haha. Then I drove to Menomonie. Now, I'm attempting to make dinner for Steve and I: Baked potatoes and "baked" steak. We'll see how it turns out!!!

I'm trying not to be a downer.
I'm missing my girls that are over in England and having the time of their lives.
I'm not scheduled for work next week (which usually would be nice, except that I have zero money, not that I make much there anyways.)
My computer might get wiped clean of everything.... and I don't have my music from this past semester saved anyplace else, and none of my pictures from this whole last semester. I'm MOST bummed about the possibility of losing my Snow Patrol pictures and videos from their concert this fall. But I'm trying to keep my head up. Negative attitudes get us nowhere. :/
